Welcome to Simply Sequoia! My name is Ali McColloch, I am the founder of Simply Sequoia and this is our story.

I grew up in the small town of Grass Valley, Ca, playing sports, participating in school activities like band and drama. I was so fortunate to have a family that supported and pushed me towards my dreams. I eventually ended up playing volleyball on scholarship at UCLA leaving my small town into a much bigger world. After college I pursued a professional career overseas and then two years later I came back and started my professional career in Beach Volleyball. Beach volleyball took me all over the world, and introduced me to people from all walks of life. I traveled to Argentina, China, Switzerland, Prague, Mexico, Costa Rica, and all over the US. 

Between practice and competition I coached youth sports, giving me the opportunity to mentor young student athletes, and help drive them to be the best version of themselves. 

While traveling the world I was exposed to so many sad truths in life. Most of them happening in our very own back yards. The opportunities I had growing up are not the same for everybody. Kids and families struggle on a daily to keep their homes together, provide food, clothes, school supplies, or the ability to support their children in activities giving them equal opportunities to grow.  

I have always had a passion for helping those who don't have very much support in life, or just need that person to help them find their path. 

After becoming a mother, my passion to help others only grew stronger, I want to give children and families hope, and tools they need to try and live the best life they can. 

This passion planted the seed that I wanted to do more than just coach, I wanted to further my passion on a larger scale. From that seed Simply Sequoia sprouted. 

I thought, let's take a simple product that kids love give back to our communities. 

It's simple! 50% of all proceeds are donated to non-profit organizations that directly impact children in areas of education, basic living needs, and after school programming.

Our goal is to extend branches far enough to spread throughout communities all over the United States.
